Medication Adjustments:

  • Discuss your medications with Dr. Yu and your primary care physician to determine which to pause before surgery.
  • Discuss if and when to stop taking blood thinners (e.g. aspirin, , eliquis, warfarin) prior to surgery to minimize bleeding risks.

Lifestyle Adjustments:

  • Focus on good nutrition, a well-balanced diet, and hydration to promote recovery.

Home Preparation:

  • Place frequently used items within easy reach to avoid bending or reaching.
  • Remove tripping hazards like loose carpets, and secure electrical cords.
