Supracondylar humerus fractures

The supracondylar portion of the humerus is just above the elbow joint, and injuries to this part of the elbow typically result from a high impact force in a young adult, or possibly from a simple fall in patients with osteoporosis. This is also a common fracture in children, often from falls from monkey bars. Treatment for these injuries can be non-surgical or surgical, depending on the nature and extent of the fracture. Dr. Yu will discuss with you the nuances of your particular injury, and make recommendations to achieve the best possible outcome for your elbow.
